Description
Aboriginal languages are making a resurgence with the advent of internet technologies where people can share their language and rebuild this, often making new words to describe new features that did not exist at the time when the Aboriginal language were only languages used in Australia. We are looking at the way we can analyse oral material, present this in a learning platform; and gather more knowledge in language to allow us to teach at a greater depth (eg food gathering, caring for country). As you may know Australia was in the news at the end of last year with devastating bush fires for we no longer care for the country as the Aboriginal ancestors did, and many plants are highly flammable here. So we need to re-learn and share such techniques again.Period | 9 Jun 2020 |
