Research interests
Azeb Bekele is pursuing a PhD at CDU, focusing on pollutants formed in the chemical recycling of plastics containing brominated flame retardants. Her academic journey started with a bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry from Dila University and a master's in organic chemistry from the University of Gonder in Ethiopia. In her research, Azeb is dedicated to identifying, quantitating, and modelling pollutants formed in the chemical recycling of plastics containing brominated flame retardant and antimony trioxide.
