Research interests

Benjamin M. Brown is a Phd Candidate in the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods (RIEL) under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Natasha Stacey and Prof. Lindsay Hutley. Apart from his PhD, Benjamin currently serves as a research associate at CDU-RIEL, involved as a technical advisor to three integrated mangrove management projects in Indonesia facilitated by Blue Forests, an Indonesian NGO of which Ben is Co-founder. Ben is also an active member of the IUCN Mangrove Specialist Group, the international Blue Carbon Scientific Working Group, and the Society for Ecological Restoration in Australia.
