Ben is Coordinator of the award-winning Growing Our Own program in the College of Education, specialising in remote Indigenous initial teacher education. He is interested in Indigenous multi-literacies, bilingual pedagogies and intercultural philosophy of education. More specifically, his work examines Yolŋu language and cultural knowledge preservation in digital contexts and the history and impact of Missionary movements in remote Northern Territory contexts. Ben holds degrees in law, education and linguistics and recently won an Indigenous Languages grant to work with the Gäwa community. When not at work, Ben can be found driving his kids around Darwin for their various commitments.
