Research interests
Catherine Joyce is a PhD candidate in the Centre for Renewable Energy and Research Institute for Environment and Livelihoods (RIEL) under the supervision of Prof Stephen Garnett and Dr Jeremy Trombley. Prior to her PhD Catherine has worked in academic learning assistance, project management for international aid and development projects, and lectured and tutored in Science, Technology and Society (STS). In 2006, Catherine worked with Dr Richard Hindmarsh on a research project entitled Climate Change, Renewable Energy, Trust and Community Engagement which explored community conflict and State planning processes around wind farm development in Victoria and South Australia. Catherine holds an Honours degree in Energy Policy, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and STS, and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from Griffith University, Qld, Australia.
