Ellen is a PhD candidate with the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods and CSIRO, under the supervision of Prof. Brett Murphy, Dr Shaun Levick, Dr Anna Richards and Dr Alyson Stobo-Wilson. She completed her Bachelor of Science (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology), followed by a Master of Science at the University of Melbourne. Ellen's Masters research investigated the links between habitat structure and mammal occurrence in flammable landscapes. Ellen has worked various roles in science outreach and communication, as an ecological consultant, a forest firefighter, and in conservation and land management.
