Research interests
Elvin has received his Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science with Honours, and Master of Medical Science degrees from the University of Papua New Guinea. He has worked on various malaria research projects at the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research. He has research interests in the areas of maternal and child health, particularly with a focus on malaria. Elvin's current research focuses on malaria in pregnancy including prevention strategies that can improve birth outcomes and prevent malaria transmission. His PhD projects are performed under the supervision of Dr. Holger Unger, Dr. Sophie Pascoe, and A/Prof. Kamala Thriemer (Menzies School of Health Research).
