Research interests

Emily is a current PhD student at Charles Darwin University. She has completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Marine Biology and
Wildlife and Conservation Biology at Murdoch University. She earned an Accelerated Research Masters with Training at Murdoch
University, focusing on the abundance and biology of the Southern Eagle Ray in Perth. Her PhD focuses on monitoring and reducing the
accidental catch of threatened, endangered, and protected species in commercial gillnet fisheries. Emily hopes to offer methods and
information to commercial fishers to reduce bycatch and protect threatened species.
