Research interests

Dr. Farha Sattar is a multidisciplinary researcher with expertise in Mathematics Education, Geoscience, Spatial Mathematical Modelling, Drone Technology, Remote Sensing (RS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education.

Dr. Farha has thirty years teaching experience in teaching Mathematics and Science education, GIS, RS, and e-Learning technologies at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

She has completed a Doctorate degree in Geospatial Science focused on Spatial Mathematical Modelling for 3D Gully Mapping and Erosion Quantification within Geoinformatics Framework from the Charles Darwin University, Australia.

She has worked in several universities including University of the Punjab and University of Twente, the Netherlands. Dr. Farha has been working at Charles Darwin University, Australia since 2008.

Dr. Farha is a certified drone pilot and aeronautical radio operator. She is well equipped with geospatial quantitative techniques and methods and has the experience to supervise research projects at postgraduate level.

Her research interests include STEM Education, Innovative Pedagogies, GIS, RS, Drone Technology, 3D Modelling, Photogrammetry and Spatial Data Infrastructure.
