Research interests

Frédérique is currently a PhD candidate investigating the impacts of climate change on North Australia’s water resources, as part of the “CRCNA Water Security for Northern Australia” Project. 

Frédérique (Frederika) has a background in hydrogeology: Master of Science in Hydrogeology at the University of Avignon, France, and Specialised Master at the National School for Water and Environmental Engineering, Strasbourg, France. She worked for a decade in Europe, Africa and Asia as a hydrogeologist and water consultant. For the past 8 years, Frédérique has worked as a groundwater scientist in a regional council and in a research institute (GNS Science Home - GNS Science | Te Pῡ Aoin New Zealand

Her focus is water management, particularly assessing how climate change and land use affect groundwater, aiding resource management decisions and the initiation of climate change adaptation actions.
