Research interests:
Guzyal has three interconnected areas of research expertise:
The main area is the complexities of harmonisation, national uniform legislation and law reform. This area of research stems from practical problems she has encountered while working as a legislative drafter. Her book titled 'National uniform legislation' is the first research monograph that considers 85 sets of uniform Acts as a body of law. This became possible due to 'law as data' methods.
Her second area of research expertise is First Nation allyship in terms of Indigenous corporations and supporting First Nations students.
The third area of research expertise, she is developing, examines issues relating to academia. In particular, an article exposing contract cheating as a common problem for the international academic community has been widely acknowledged in the media and cited.
Dr Guzyal is available to supervise research students who are interested in topics relating to these areas or more generally to Administrative Law, Corporations, Law and Technology.
