Research interests
Hamid Alqahtani is a graduate student pursuing a research master’s degree at the Faculty of Arts and Society under the supervision of
Professor Kerstin Zander and Dr. Michael Erdiaw-Kwasie. His passion for the topic of climate change led him to focus his studies on the
impact of heat on the tourism sector in Victoria, to contribute to reducing the impact of extreme heat on the tourism sector, which is one
of the most important tributaries of the Australian economy and the vulnerable sector for the impact of extreme heat.
Hamid's research addresses the lack of awareness about the impact of extreme heat on tourism in Victoria, Australia. It fills a gap in
studies, provides a deeper understanding of the problem, and offers solutions and options for addressing it.
