Research interests
Hannah Taino-Spick is social work practitioner and Lecturer at Charles Darwin University. She is also a ministerially-appointed member of the NT Government's Veterans Advisory Group, as well as a regular contributor to the Defence and Veterans' Family Strategy, and a member of the Lived Experience and Research Advisory Group to the Australian Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. Hannah leads innovative practice programs into the use of therapy dogs, including with military veterans, in youth justice and child protection, disability and mental health, and is currently completing a PhD on discharge and transition experiences of Australian contemporary veterans who go onto higher education. From 2008 to 2015 she was a Logistics Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force.
