Research interests
Jean Borlagdan is a PhD candidate in the College of Education. She is currently completing a practice-based research in Visual Arts that relates the effects of migration in a creative process and production. Jean completed her Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Secondary Education with Honours and Master of Arts in Teaching Reading in the Philippine Normal University. She then worked at Philippine Normal University College of Education as a Supervising Professor, Lecturer and Coordinator of its Research and Extension Service Unit. She was a Metrobank Outstanding Teachers of the Philippines in 2000. Jean was also a textbook writer for REX Groups of Companies in Manila, Philippines. Her areas of interest and specialisation include Literacy, Reading, Curriculum Development, Pedagogy and Arts. Jean completed her Master by Research in Education in Charles Darwin University in 2014.
