Research interests

Dr Jenny Buckworth is the former Academic Director of Professional Experience and Senior Lecturer in the College of Education specialising in Initial Teacher Education. She is interested in Professional Experience placements in the field of schooling and teacher education. More specifically, her work examines the diverse nature of teachers and learners and seeks to promote equity of practice across the educational sector.  Dr Buckworth holds degrees in Teaching and in International Management and recently completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Education. She has been an elected member of the Academic board at Charles on University, is published in the numerous highly ranked journals and has presented at recent conferences, including The IAFOR International Conference on Global Studies, Barcelona, ATEA Conference, Brisbane, and ABC National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre, Dublin.

Achievements (2019)

  •  Co-supervisor for an international PhD student, whose thesis has recently been submitted.
  •  Close collaborativion with colleagues at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS). In this time we have published a joint paper, have prepared an abstract for presentation and are presently readying for this conference presentation
