Research interests

Jenny House is a PhD researcher in the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods, under the supervision of Associate Professor Natasha Stacey. Her research areas focus on participation in small-scale fisheries management and monitoring, women’s empowerment, gender and community-based fisheries management. She is conducting her research in Timor-Leste. Prior to beginning this research, Jenny House worked for a community-based marine conservation NGO in Timor-Leste for several years. She holds a MSc in Marine Environmental Management from the University of York and completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom.
