Research interests
Jonathan Howard is a CDU PhD candidate. Over the last five years he has been working in Darwin high schools as an English and Humanities teacher. After completing a Masters in Applied Linguistics through the University of Melbourne, he has decided to pursue his research in Translanguaing and to focus his research in the field of Refugee Studies. This is complemented by his work as an AMEP teacher, supporting migrants and humanitarian entrants to overcome the challenges and barriers when moving to a new country. As an undergraduate, Jonathan dreamt of working for the United Nations to help improve the social injustices and bring about greater equality amongst people.
