Research interests

I have extensive experience in teaching, research and learning design. My interest broadly sits in the area of teaching and learning in higher education space but I have special interest in how learning design can achieve the alignment between intended and real outcomes and factor affecting the alignment. This interests leads to many peripheral issues that I have worked on in different projects such as task design, assessment, design patterns, design thinking and curriculum mapping.

I have taught in the area of education and pedagogy, research strategies, ICT in education, technology and education, learning design, science education and mathematics education. I am an active educational researcher and worked independently and in collaboration with other higher education colleagues.

My research expertise and supervision is in the areas:

  • ICT in education,
  • Research methods
  • Curriculum design and mapping
  • Learning design and use of learning analytics in improving learning design
  • Teaching science creatively
