Research interests

Khushi is a primary school teacher by profession and is currently a PhD candidate in the College of Indigenous Futures, Education and the Arts. She completed a Bachelor in Arts and a Master in Mass Communication from Punjab University in Chandigarh, India. She also completed a Master's in Teaching from Griffith University, Gold Coast, QLD. Khushi presented her research proposal at CDU HDR Conference in June 2022. Her research interests broadly concern equity in education. Through her research project, she aims to highlight the importance of including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Histories and Cultures in classroom teaching as it equips all Australian students with the knowledge and skills needed to deconstruct stereotypes and normalise diversity.
