Research interests

Professor McCrimmon is one of Australia’s leading experts on evidence law, advocacy and privacy. He holds a BA and LLB from the University of Alberta, Canada, and an LLM by research from the University of Queensland. He is also admitted as a legal practitioner in the Northern Territory and New South Wales.  He is a member of the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal, President of the Northern Territory Law Reform Committee, and a Fellow and Board member of the Australian Academy of Law. He also has practiced as a barrister in the Northern Territory.
