Research interests

Lulu grew up in Hong Kong and obtained an MSc in Nutrition for Global Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her Master’s dissertation explored the impacts of ocean warming on fisheries and food security in the Coral Triangle and Pacific. After completing her master’s, Lulu worked for WorldFish developing and implementing a pilot project in Zambia, measuring the contribution of pond polyculture to food and nutrition security and gender equity. More recently, Lulu has worked on a project examining the impacts of COVID-19 on fish supply chains across Africa and Asia. She is supervised by Associate Professor Natasha Stacey (RIEL/CDU), Associate Professor Julie Brimblecombe (Monash University), ad Dr Shakuntala Thilsted (WorldFish) and advised by Dr Benjamin Brown (RIEL/CDU).
