Research interests

Mitch is a wildlife ecologist interested in movement ecology, disturbance ecology, and conservation techniques. Mitch is particularly interested in mammals, with several years spent researching northern quolls (Dasyurus hallucatus) in Western Australia's Pilbara region. Currently, Mitch is a research associate at UWA and an adjunct at CDU. His research is supported by the NESP Resilient Landscapes Hub and involves spatial prioritisation of conservation management in Kakadu National Park, as well as investigating the practice and outcomes of wet-season burning.
