Naisan Yazdani is a passionate high school teacher living in Timor-Leste with his wife and two pre-school children. He completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering at Flinders University in 2009. Soon after, he had a shift of heart and redirected his attention to education. He completed his Graduate Diploma of Education through Adelaide University in 2012. After a year of volunteering, he began teaching math and science through the Australian Curriculum and at an International Baccalaureate school. Naisan is currently pursuing his doctorate by research through Charles Darwin University and investigating how a community driven tuition program can help low socioeconomic students of Timor-Leste grow in their academic abilities and perceived opportunities.
