Research interests
Nicole Norman is a Registered Nurse with experience in clinical care, nursing education and academia in Australia. Ms Norman is the current Director of Nursing and Midwifery for Clinical Learning Education and Research Services, Northern Territory Department of Health, and previously a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at Charles Darwin University's Faculty of Health. Ms Norman’s nursing curriculum design focuses on contextualisation of learning to bridge the theory to clinical practice gap, preparing tomorrows nurses for the changing healthcare consumer and embedding innovative digital technology in nursing education. She also holds a master’s degree in clinical nursing (critical care) and has presented at conferences on Emerging Mental Health and Supportive Care Research in the NT, Primary Healthcare: Interviews with Professionals and Breaking Silos: Transforming organisational culture through innovation-based group coaching and mentoring. Ms. Norman is the Northern Territory Chair for the Australian College of Nursing.
