Dr Peter Jacklyn manages the North Australia and Rangelands Fire Information (NAFI) service and has done so since its inception in 2002. NAFI provides web-based dynamic maps and analytical reports that help land manager better manage fire. It draws on the research and research networks provided by the Darwin Centre for Bushfires Research. It is now used across large areas of Australia and underpins the Measuring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system used in the Australian Savanna Burning methodologies. Peter’s career has covered scientific research, radio broadcasting, communication, MRVs and knowledge transfer.
