Research interests

Prabhu is a dental professional and an emerging researcher whose interests primarily focus on reducing oral health disparities, particularly among vulnerable and underserved populations. His research areas are centred around access to oral health care, integration of oral health into primary care, health services research, and health workforce planning, distribution and retention. He has experience in analysing large administrative and linked population health datasets using quantitative and Geographic Information Systems-based analytical methods.

As a Research Fellow at the CRE for Strengthening Health Systems in Remote Australia (CRESTRA), Prabhu's work focuses on promoting strong and sustainable primary health care systems in remote and rural Australia.
