Pritika is a Higher degree by research candidate in the Faculty of Science and Technology. Her current research focuses in the risk assessment of heterogeneous IoMT devices and a review paper for the same has been published in Technologies (MDPI).
She studied computer applications at VIT University in India for her bachelor's and master's degrees, and later worked as a system analyst in a hospital serving a diverse patient population. This intrigued her interest to work for healthcare industry. Her study interest increased after the pandemic hit the globe and it became more challenging for patients to go to the hospital for vitals monitoring, particularly for critical disorders related to the lungs and respiratory system, but using these devices always comes with risks, some of which might be fatal if inaccurate information is provided. Her desire to conduct in-depth research on risk assessment for IoMT devices was sparked, which inspired her to choose the research degree at CDU. Her goal is to create a framework incorporating the recommendations from the ISO and NIST frameworks.
