Research interests
Ruth Outridge (she/her) is a Research Associate at the Molly Wardaguga Institute for First Nations Birth Rights. Her work focuses on developing an evidence base and centralised repository for Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) research in the Northern Territory to inform policy, practice and future research. Ruth is also a PhD Candidate with the Menzies School of Health Research, where she is conducting mixed-method research to understand and improve emergency department care with women who have experienced violence. With a background in acute care nursing, Ruth aims to centre lived experienced knowledge to generate meaningful research that translates into improved health policy, service pathways and outcomes for women experiencing violence.
