Research interests

Sam uses a mixed-method research paradigm in his currnt PhD studies. He explored the use of Lave and Wengers (1991) Communities of Pratice in a Virtual Reality setting, to prepare students and support them for Work Integrated Learning. Sams research draws on a number of existing research paradigms including Phenomenology, Action Research, and Virtual Ethnography.
