Sarah Bonney is a PhD candidate in the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods (RIEL) under the supervision of Prof. Alan Andersen. Her research aims to quantify the contribution of ants to ecosystem function. Prior to her PhD research, Sarah studied the impacts of the invasive Buffel Grass (Cenchrus ciliaris) on ant communities in Central Australia. Sarah has previously worked in technical roles in fields such as biological control of pest species (foxes, rabbits and toads) and biological monitoring and ecotoxicology of freshwater species in regards to uranium mining.
