Shandala is a PhD candidate in the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods (RIEL) under the supervision of A/Prof. Hamish Campbell. Her research aims to understand the spatial movement of feral pigs in monsoonal tropical wetlands. Prior to her PhD research, Shandala worked in the fields of Heritage, sustainability and biosecurity of government and private sectors. She is particularly interested in invasive species management. Shandala holds a Bachelor of Science from California Polytechnic University, USA and a Master of Environmental Management from University of Newcastle, New South Wales.
