Sheikh Izzal Azid's research interests include Aerial Robotics, Drones, Underwater Robotics, Linear and Nonlinear Controls, Robust Controls, Unknown Disturbance/State Observers, Autonomous Systems and Power Grids. His Ph.D. study focused on Robust Controls and Aerial Robotics, completed at the University of the South Pacific in collaboration with the University of Palermo, Italy. He earned his MSc in Engineering in Automation and Intelligent Systems. Azid participated in the Erasmus+ staff exchange program and was affiliated with the Technical University of Sofia and the University of Palermo. He is a member of IEEE. Azid has also been the recipient of IEEE Young Humanitarian award. Furthermore, Azid has worked as a consultant on various European Projects concerning Science, Technology, and Innovation in the Pacific.
