Shelly Rampal has been serving in the field of education at different levels for more than a decade, as a teacher, research assistant and tutor in, India, Australia, and United States. She is passionate to promote inclusivity, equity, and diversity in Education. Her diverse background has presented numerous opportunities to engage with people from different cultural backgrounds.
Her experiences motivated her to research values-based education in plural contexts, including wisdom and humility development. She discerns virtues epistemology as a crucial approach to educational psychology and encourages teaching of intellectual virtues such as humility in the schools and universities to facilitate intrinsic motivation to develop critical thinking, reflective-thinking, self-regulation, and open-mindedness among young minds.
