Research interests

Sue Shore is a Professor of Education (Honorary Appointment) at Charles Darwin University (CDU). During her time at CDU she was Inaugural Director of the International Graduate Centre of Education in the College of Education and Inaugural Chair of the Community of Associate Deans Research in Education (cADRE) as well as sitting on the Australian Council of Deans of Education Executive. Sue specialises in research capacity building and theorising practices that link what we know, what we teach and how we learn in workplaces, the professions and community. More specifically, her work examines how institutional reform supports aspirations for diverse people, places, partnerships and programs. She is interested in mapping institutional approaches that achieve these goals. Sue holds qualifications in Science and postgraduate education. She has published in Routledge, SUNY Press, Studies in Higher Education and Australian Educational Researcher. As an honorary for CDU Sue is involved in doctoral research supervision and a number of projects managed by La Trobe University which explore the higher education experience for military veterans and the strategies in place to promote Low SES engagement at university.
