Research interests
Sanuja de Silva is a PhD candidate by research at Charles Darwin University (CDU) in Darwin. He currently serves as a sessional lecturer in
management at the Canterbury Institute of Management, Darwin. He comes with a wealth of industry experience, of over 13 years in the
Banking sector in Sri Lanka, specializing in International Trade, Financial Markets, and Corporate Banking. Sanuja is also a certified trainer
and have conducted several training sessions for corporates in Sri Lanka. He holds an MBA from the University of Wales (2016) and also
holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems (First Class), from Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (2010). Sanuja's passion
for teaching and sports has motivated him to change his career in banking to academia, and focus on further studying in the area of
incorporating management with sports. His current research is based in the Australian Northern Territory where he focuses on community
sports clubs' business models and their long-term sustainability.
