Research interests

Timothy Howarth is a PhD student in the field of Public Health. Timothy completed two Bachelor degrees (Exercise and Sport Science, and Applied Science) at CDU, and post graduate degrees (Graduate Diploma of Health Research and Master of Public Health) through Menzies School of Health Research, receiving the Ross Bailey Award for his Thesis Strongyloidiasis, Scabies and Impetigo - Household Clustering in a Northern Territory Community. Timothy's research interests are disadvantaged populations, including Aboriginal Australians, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations, and people born with a low birth weight. Timothy's current research focuses on chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD and bronchiectasis, and Sleep Health. Timothy has over 30 peer reviewed publications, has presented at numerous international conferences, and has a strong working network extending across Australia, to Scandinavia and particularly Finland, and to Northern Africa.
