Research interests

Venkata Silpa Borra is a PhD researcher in the Faculty of Science and Technology under the supervision of Dr Kamal Debnath. Her research area focuses on extracting maximum power from hybrid solar-wind system by using fuzzy logic approach. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2010 and Master’s degree in Power System Control and Automation in 2014 both from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, India. She received her Master by Research degree from Charles Darwin University in 2020. During her Master by research, her research was on minimizing fuel cost and CO2 emissions and solving security and Unit Commitment Problems by using Dynamic Programming and Particle Swarm Optimization approaches.
