Research interests

Vongayi Majoni is a registered nurse with over 20 years of nursing experience in the nursing field as a Cardiac Nurse and Diabetes Educator. She is currently working as an Associate Nursing Lecturer in the Faculty of Health at Charles Darwin University. 

Vongayi has a particular interest in public health and wellbeing promotion.  She is in the final stage of her PhD under the supervision of Professor Alan Cass and Doctor Sharon Chirgwin at the Menzies School of Health. The project evaluated the impacts on the well-being of relocated dialysis First Nations women who have developed End-stage Kidney disease. This project is a smaller arm of a larger study titled the Dialysis Model of Care project, which is examining the costs and outcomes of different dialysis models and proximity to home.
