Research interests

Yoong is an associate lecturer in biomechanics at the Charles Darwin University and has research working relationships with orthopaedics surgeons and clinicians both locally and internationally. He has also both clinical and research experiences in orthopaedics biomechanics. His primary research interest involves using medical imaging and experimental- and computational- biomechanics to evaluate and examine surgical or non-surgical intervention outcomes on clinical outcomes or joint health. Yoong also serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Orthopaedics Surgery Research and Minerva Othopedics, and is a committee member of the NT Health HREC.
