Biography:

Yuko Matsuoka is a public health practitioner with social work background. Yuko has been involved in aid and development work in Japan, Kenya and Zambia for 15 years, especially in the project implementation of TB, HIV, and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights programmes. Her past working experiences with several NGOs, International Organizations, Governmental Organizations, and a Japanese university equipped her global perspective on community development in Southern and Eastern Africa. Her area of interest covers the development of community-based health projects/programmes through contribution to understanding Community Health Workers' experiences.
