    Project Details

    Description

In 2019, Dr Gromik supervised Mrs Thomas to conduct a minor investigation of Darwin-based nurse’s acceptance of health information technology as part of their occupation. While completing this research, a Rainmaker Readiness grant was successfully received with the aim to conduct a similar comparative study between a Tertiary Teaching Hospital in the Northern Territory and a hospital in India. However, due to the emergence of COVID and the various international restrictions, the study had to be restructured. Mrs Thomas and Dr Gromik are now investigating an electronic hospital patient record system and its implementation in the Northern Territory hospitals. Further research activities are expected to be undertaken after this initial research study.
