    Description

This Start-up fund is required to support an ARC application aims to address the problem of anonymity in cybercrime by monitoring the dynamics of online criminal networks through the capturing of malware code, phishing attacks, and target victim risk behaviours. Using data provided by government, industry and non-profit organisations, this research aims to apply an innovative and integrated mix of statistical, qualitative and advanced artificial intelligence methods to identify the complex attributes of cyber offending and victim patterns. The analysis is expected to enhance the effectiveness of crime prevention and the detection of offenders in cyberspace, and guide cyber-safety responses. This project is expected to benefit national security, law enforcement and crime prevention.
