    Project Details

    Description

The Building Landcare Community and Capacity (BLCC) program will situate a Regional Soils Coordinator (RSC) in the Northern Western Australia and Northern Territory Drought Hub. Situating the RSC at the NWANT Hub will allow the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment to work directly with the Landcare community and industry organisations to identify suitable activities with the aim of:
    • supporting the sharing of knowledge and achievements
    • promoting community leadership and resilience development
    • engaging with youth, women, and Indigenous people in land care
    • recognising the achievements of land carers
    • supporting the adoption of sustainable agriculture practices that will deliver a more productive and profitable agriculture industry.
