Project Details

Description

The project includes research and development, innovation, and commercial development into the use of recycled materials on remote Northern Territory roads. The research aims to find practical solutions which will enhance local businesses and create jobs in remote Northern Territory communities through the use of recycled materials in road construction.

A proposed output of the research project is to integrate mechanical properties, environmental impacts and economic aspects of using recycled materials into a decision-making tool. The tool will help select the optimal pavement solution for a given road according to the location, available recycled materials, etc.
