Project Details
Description
In the dynamic and increasingly complex world of software development, the integration of security into the DevOps process known as
“DevSecOps” has become essential for protecting digital assets and sensitive information. The primary objective of this research is to
provide guidance and best practices for implementing DevSecOps in Banking & Financial Services environments. This research investigates
both historical and contemporary trends in DevSecOps practices, assessing their alignment with current application development
methodologies and validating them against the latest deployment strategies. Additionally, the research offers comprehensive information
on DevSecOps, including its principles, operations, and anticipated benefits. It outlines the necessary objectives and activities for
establishing a DevSecOps ecosystem, such as adopting the culture, deploying technology, and adapting processes. The study aims to
enhance understanding of DevSecOps, its evolution, and the challenges and benefits of adopting such an approach. The research
addresses the following questions: advancements in grey and empirical literature regarding DevSecOps in the finance and banking sector,
and recent developments and challenges in DevSecOps since 2019 in this sector. This research aims to address these gaps by proposing
best practices and strategies for implementing DevSecOps in the banking and financial services industry, ensuring robust security
measures are integrated seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
