The three goals are to investigate the impact of preschool reforms since 2014: by cohort comparison of children engaged in preschool with those who did not attend; establish a baseline of preschool and intensive programmes' learning outcomes for 2024 children preparing to start Cycle 1 Basic Education in 2025, and the investigate the impact of preschool investment by comparing a sample of children' outcomes in 2017 with 2024 outcomes. This study is expected to compliment the 2023 KAP study of classroom practices and application of the preschool curriculum to inform future improvements and system development.
