Multi-scaled modelling of tropical savanna structural diversity (Scholarship)

Project: Research

Project Details

This project aims to address these two limitations through the innovative use of new proximal and remote sensing technologies: sonic tomography and spaceborne LiDAR. The key questions for the proposed research are: 1. How does fire impact the threedimensional structural complexity of tropical savannas? 2. Can spaceborne LiDAR be used to measure critical attributes of savanna structural diversity? 3. What are the landscapescale impacts of fire management on savanna structural diversity and biodiversity conservation more broadly?
