Rainmaker Start-up 2019: Climate adaptation pathways for Indigenous communities led enterprises

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

This project will work with Indigenous communities led enterprises from Australia and India in knowledge sharing about climate change, vulnerabilities and resilience to co-develop climate adaptation strategies. The project will co-develop with Indigenous partners web-based communication platforms to share ‘climate stories’ and examine opportunities to support Indigenous-led enterprises in the sustainability domain. The project will deliver an assessment framework to support research agencies and practitioners to identify the barriers to adaptation, including policy, planning and institutional settings. It will provide tools to develop strategies that reduce vulnerabilities, strengthen positive resilience and enable economic development whilst addressing climate-related risks.
