    Description

The project, underpinned by intense community engagement, aims to achieve:

•An integrated ecological, social and economic information reporting framework for Darwin Harbour developed using an enabling process that fosters intense community engagement.

•Access to existing industry, government and research organisation's data unlocking opportunities for collaboration and monitoring efficiencies. Data transparency, integrity and standardised protocols will promote consistency, integration, avoid unnecessary duplication, and facilitate robust effective and collegial monitoring in the region.

    • Distillation of robust, scientific data in a user-friendly, portal format that is available to the community and showcases industry, government and community stewardship.

•A forum for Larrakia Traditional Owner to showcase their 'Business on Country' - including 'right way' of doing business.

The resulting Report Card, built upon consultation with stakeholders, strong science, and excellent communication, will place Darwin Harbour amongst some of the more progressive and holistic reporting systems nationally and internationally, reflecting community values and the desire to protect the regional tropical ecosystems, culture and lifestyle.
