Project Details
Description
Some people do not live in a static home. Some people travel across Western Australia for cultural, historical, occupational, or lifestyle reasons. They often stay in static communities only temporarily. These people are sometimes referred to as mobile populations. Research tells us that mobile populations are more vulnerable to experiencing disasters, and the adverse effects of disasters. This research aims to improve our understanding of mobile populations and the best ways they can be supported in disaster risk reduction, response and recovery.
